New Director of Development for the CCA Foundation

Please welcome Mike Parker as the new Director of Development for the Clear Creek Amana Schools Foundation. The part time position is responsible for leading and strengthening a comprehensive fundraising program in support of the Foundation’s mission and goals. Specific emphasis is focused on annual giving, planned giving, grants and fundraising events. The Director will strive to build a greater understanding and support for both the Foundation and District’s mission, vision and goals.
Aboud Mike Parker:
Mike has lived in the Iowa City area for over 30 years and is married to Brenda Parker, North Bend Elementary Principal and their daughter Sofia is a 7th grade student at CCA Middle School. Mike has been a Motivational Speaker for over 20 years, mostly delivering corporate keynote presentations all over the country, and is an author of Ask Yourself, a guided journal that is sold in bookstores and online all over the world.
Mike's passion for running: Mike ran track & field for the University of Kansas and been the head coach for track & field and cross country at Iowa City West High for 29 years and won 12 Team State Championships. He has been inducted into the National High School Coaches Hall of Fame. Mike serves on several boards and commissions throughout the state; Track Guy Foundation, Johnson County Planning and Zoning Commission, Iowa City Airport Commission and many others. This summer he enjoyed watching Sofia win 13 PGA Junior Golf Tournaments throughout the state.
"Very excited to help grow the Clear Creek Amana Foundation in visibility, involvement and contributions. I will be working everyday to assure our staff, students, parents and alumni are proud of the many things the CCA Foundation is doing to benefit all of those involved in our District."
